Data files relating to the immigration of Germans to the United States for arrivals 1850-1897. The Stearns History Museum carries these books in its research facility.
Iron Range Research Center
The Iron Range Research Center contains one of the largest collections of genealogical and local history research materials in the Upper Midwest and includes census, naturalization records, passenger arrival records, mining company newsletters, and a survey of Women in Industry taken in 1919, among many others. The reference book collection, maps, photographs, oral histories and microfilmed newspapers are a gold mine of information for genealogists, historians, scholars and students.
National Archives & Records Administration: Naturalization Records
Naturalization is the process by which an alien becomes an American citizen. It is a voluntary act; naturalization is not required. In certain cases, county court naturalization records maintained by the National Archives are available as microfilm publications. Records from state and local courts are often at state archives or historical societies.
